The key project details

A mega neighborhood with approximately 2,192 housing units designated for young couples and new immigrants. In this large-scale project, my Team set new standards in the construction industry, in terms of the scope of the construction, the quality of the construction and the challenging and short schedules. The neighborhood was established in the 1990s and was among the first projects carried out by Tidhar. Currently, about 12,000 residents live there, benefiting from public institutions and businesses in the neighborhood as well as a nearby train station.

Work includes traffic arrangements, earthworks, retaining walls, asphalt, lighting and underground systems. Estimate - NIS 26,000,000. Client is Arim company along with Yaez company as a contractor.

Arim Company is a government company that is an executive arm of the Israeli government in the field of urban infrastructure planning and development for the establishment of new neighborhoods and settlements and other infrastructure projects. The company manages planning and development works and prepares land for housing in the scope of tens of thousands of units at the same time. The distribution of the company's projects is nationwide - from north to south of Israel.

Urban Road Network Optimization

Because the neighborhood was populated quickly, the environmental and infrastructure development works were carried out with low quality. Initially, it did not have public institutions and services such as schools, a community center and a commercial center which were gradually completed about ten years after the neighborhood was inhabited. On the eastern side of the neighborhood there are lands belonging to Arab residents, on which several residences are built. The municipality of Lod does not grant additional building permits for these lands, and even demolishes new houses that are built on them.
